Peer mentoring

Peer mentoring is an increasingly popular personal and professional development technique and it’s a key part of the SMART SE programme. Mentoring involves partnering you with a mentor who can help you develop as an entrepreneur or as an enterprise.

The SMART SE mentoring programme is FREE and offers you an initial 10 hours with a skilled and apropriate mentor over a six month period.

Your mentor will become your ‘critical friend’ and guide, helping you to find solutions to specific issues and challenges. As an experienced social entrepreneur, your mentor will also be able to support, encourage and inspire you in developing your enterprise.

Best of all, mentoring is flexible so it’s perfect for busy enterprises and entrepreneurs. Through SMART SE, you can choose mentoring to help you with one particular task or challenge, or for more general support and development.

In addition, you can join our mentoring programme as an individual or as an enterprise. If you join as an enterprise, the mentoring process can also include your board, enabling you to look at issues such as organisational structure, governance and business development.

How does it work?

  • Telephone or e-mail us to discuss your needs
  • Submit short application form
  • You will then be assigned an appropriate mentor who will provide you with 10 hours of support over six months
